Moose promotional schedule for February

The Moose start the stretch run for the playoffs with a six-game homestand at the Winnipeg Arena in the month of February. The club will continue to hold a Hockey Raffle with all proceeds to support the Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation and the Rehab Centre for Children Foundation. Tickets are three for $5 available during Moose games and there are some outstanding prizes to be won! First prize is a Vancouver Weekend to watch the Vancouver Canucks in action! Second prize is a "Weekend of Fun" with a Chevy TrailBlazer for the weekend, gas coupons, dinner at Kelsey's and other assorted Moose items. Third Prize is a unique lithograph by artist Lee Cameron called "Hockey Night". The draw date will occur during the March 28 game against Providence.

On Sunday, February 16, Ranger Insurance presents The Manitoba Moose Sports Carnival '03. The annual event begins at noon and runs until 4 p.m. at the Winnipeg Arena. Come out early to meet your favorite Manitoba Moose player and enjoy an afternoon of family entertainment including games, clowns, mystery boxes and new this year - celebrity relay! Admission is $5 per person with children under four free. All proceeds go to The Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation. Tickets for sale at all Select-A-Seat locations. Manitoba Moose Poster Giveaway Night, sponsored by Rogers Video, also occurs in February. Fans in attendance on Friday, February 21 will receive a collectable poster featuring a collage of several Moose players.

There will be a Husky/Mohawk hockey card giveaway night in February. Fans receive hockey cards for three different players and those same players will be featured at "Autograph Alley" after the game. Featured on Tuesday, February 23 will be #7 Nolan Baumgartner, #32 Jason King and #21 Jimmy Roy.

Molson Canadian Corner: Canadian Corner will be available for every game on Friday and Saturday this month! For only $20, you get a regularly priced $22 ticket, two beverages and a hot dog. Tickets are available at all Select-A-Seat locations, Arena Box Office or by calling 780-SEAT. Group bookings in the Canadian Corner are available by calling the Moose at 987-PUCK.

Community Event: February is I Love To Read Month. The Manitoba Moose players will be visiting various local schools throughout the month to promote this reading program.

The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club is proud to be part of the fourth annual - "Follow Your Dreams" - Aboriginal Youth Night - an event designed to provide Aboriginal students with positive role models and inspiration for the future. The Moose have partnered up with the RCMP, Indian & Northern Affairs Canada, Manitoba Public Insurance, Red River College, Northwest Company, APTN and Minister Ron Lemieux. On Sunday, February 23, over 5000 young people will be in attendance to celebrate aboriginal youth throughout the province. The Moose would also like to welcome special keynote speaker, current WHL star and member of Canada's World Junior Silver Medal Team, Jordan Tootoo.
