Canucks reassign Allen

The Vancouver Canucks announced that they have reassigned defenceman Bryan Allen to the Manitoba Moose. Allen will be available to play tonight against the Manchester Monarchs and will be recalled to the Canucks on Sunday, Feb. 9.

This season, Allen has played 29 games with Vancouver, recording his first four career NHL goals, one assist for five points, a +8 rating and 50 penalty minutes. The 22 year-old defenceman has also played in five AHL contests for the Moose during the 2002-03 season, accumulating one assist, four penalty minutes and a +4 rating.

Allen was originally assigned to Manitoba on October 25/02 and reassigned on November 6/02 and November 23/02.
