The Crunch, who did not allow a goal in two contests in Columbus last year, are 4-1-1-2 in their last eight games. Tonight's opener welcomes the Barons (7:00 ET), who have split two meetings with Syracuse this year thanks to six points from rookie Niko Dimitrakos.

Providence puts its franchise record 14-game home unbeaten streak up against Saint John tonight (7:05 ET, 8:05 AT). The Bruins are 11-0-3-0 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center since a 3-2 loss to Worcester on Dec. 1, and 3-0-0-0 against the Flames this season. Rookie coach Mike Sullivan, who spent part of the 1993-94 season playing in Saint John, has his B's in second place in the Eastern Conference and six points ahead of Manchester atop the North Division.

A busy weekend for the Norfolk Admirals begins in Grand Rapids tonight (7:30 ET) in a battle of two of the top teams in the Western Conference. The Admirals have won six straight on the road including the last three by shutout; the Griffins are 7-1-2-0 in their last 10 overall, with Jason Williams tallying 15 points in those 10 games. Norfolk then heads to Milwaukee for an all-Admiral affair at the Bradley Center on Saturday, before the Blackhawks' affiliate hits the Windy City to face the Chicago Wolves on Sunday.

San Antonio's 12-game, 28-day road trip road trip continues in Wilkes-Barre with games tonight and Saturday (7:05 ET, 6:05 CT). The Rampage are 4-1-1-0 since the Livestock Exposition and Rodeo took over the SBC Center, including wins over division leaders Grand Rapids and Norfolk. The Penguins have been hovering within a game of the .500 mark since Christmas, and are coming off a pair of one-goal losses to Houston and Philadelphia last week.
