
Bulldogs Rally for Overtime Win

SUDBURY, ONT. - The Hamilton Bulldogs (9-15-1-0) scored a 3-2 overtime win over the Sudbury Wolves (5-13-3- 0) at the Sudbury Community Centre on Friday night.
The Wolves opened the scoring in the first period when Mikkel Aagaard fired a shot into the Hamilton net at 11:10. The assists on the play were picked up by Alan Lyszczarczyk and Reagan O'Grady.
In the second period the 'Dogs tied it up on the power play when Connor Walters scored his first OHL goal at 12:48.
Sudbury goaltender Zack Bowman did not see the point shot as Matt Strome was positioned in front of the Wolves net.
Not even three minutes later Sudbury regained the lead when Aagaard walked in and roofed his second of the game with a shot from the slot at 15:21.
Hamilton went into the third period trailing 2-1 but tied it up when Michael Cramarossa tipped in a shot on the power play. Trent Fox and Mason Marchment grabbed the assists at 4:23 of the final frame. The assist for Marchment extended his point streak to four games.
Both teams would have chances to finish the game in regulation but instead would go into overtime tied 2-2.
In extra time it was Cole Candella who finished it off by rushing into the Sudbury zone and snapping a shot in at 4:42 to give the Bulldogs a 3-2 win.
The Bulldogs wrap up three games in three nights tomorrow night when they host the Mississauga Steelheads at FirstOntario Centre. Puck drop is 7:00 p.m.
