Bulldogs Lose in Overtime

The Hamilton Bulldogs had their four game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night as they lost to the Manchester Monarchs 4-3 in overtime at Copps Coliseum.

The Bulldogs gained one point out of the contest and now have 35 points on the season. Hamilton remains in first place in the Canadian Division with a record of 16 wins, 6 losses, 1 tie and 2 overtime losses.

Scoring goals for Hamilton were Marc-Andre Bergeron, Marcel Hossa and Benoit Gratton. The goal scored by Bergeron was his first of the season.

Manchester had goals from former Bulldogs forward Steve Kelly (2), Chris Schmidt, and Pavel Rosa, who scored at the 1:05 mark of overtime to win the game for Manchester.

Bulldogs goaltender Mathieu Garon made 27 saves in net for Hamilton, while Travis Scott stopped 25 shots for the Monarchs.
