Bulldogs Drop Hard Fought 3-2 Decision in Peterborough

BULLDOGS LOSE 3-2 IN OT TO PETERBOROUGH

HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs kicked off a busy 3 in 3 weekend Thursday night in Peterborough with a heartbreaking 3-2 overtime loss to the Petes.

Few chances for most of the 1st period until the Bulldogs got a power-play and Will Bitten (5) slipped a loose puck over the goal line at 15:51 to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

The Petes came out with some jump to start the 2nd period and tied the game 1-1 at 2:32. Hamilton rookie Arthur Kaliyev (9) snapped one home at 9:49 to give the Black and Gold a 2-1 lead, but the Petes kept coming and tied the game 2-2 at 16:01.

As expected it was a tight-checking 3rd period with no goals scored as the game went to overtime. The Bulldogs carried the play in the extra period, including Isaac Nurse who was stopped twice on breakaways by Petes goalie Dylan Wells. Then Logan DeNoble won the game for Peterborough with his second goal of the night with thirty seconds left in overtime.

Peterborough goal scorers were Logan DeNoble (12, 13) Jonathan Ang (13).

The Bulldogs are back in action Friday night in Oshawa at 7:35 pm before returning home to host the Ottawa 67's Saturday at FirstOntario Centre at 7 pm.
