EDMONTON - The Hamilton Bulldogs earned their first win on the 2004-05 regular season on Saturday night, as they defeated the Edmonton Road Runners 1-0 at Rexall Place. Bulldogs goaltender Yann Danis earned the shutout by stopping all Road Runner shots.
After two scoreless periods, Bulldogs right-winger Marc-Andre Thinel broke the scoreless tie at 6:50 of the third by taking a snap shot from the left side of the Road Runners goal and beating goaltender Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers on the glove hand. Earning assists on the game-winner were Jonathan Ferland and Trevor Daley.
Bullodgs goaltender Yann Danis now has a perfect record of three wins and zero losses in the AHL dating back to last season.
The Hamilton Bulldogs home opener is set for Sunday, October 17th when they host the Manitoba Moose at Copps Coliseum.
