Bulldogs Blank Crunch 1-0 In Tokarski's Return To Syracuse

Syracuse, New York - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Syracuse Crunch 1-0 on Friday night at Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter. Dustin Tokarski stopped all 40 Crunch shots to record his third shutout as a 'Dog and sixth of the season and Alex Belzile scored his first goal in his AHL and 'Dogs debut.
After a scoreless opening frame, the Crunch outshot the Bulldogs 15-4.
There were no tallies to mention during the second period as Hamilton outshot Syracuse 10-9.
The Bulldogs opened the scoring at 10:10 of the third stanza on Alex Belzile's first AHL goal in his first game as a 'Dog. Michael Bournival fed the puck in front of the net and Belzile batted it by Syracuse Crunch starting goaltender Riku Helenius.
The Crunch outshot the Bulldogs 40-26 to end the game as Tokarski, who started the season in Syracuse, improved to 5-4-0 with a 1.54 goals against average, a .951 save percentage and three shutouts in 10 games as a 'Dog.
The Bulldogs' next game is against the Senators in Binghamton on Saturday, March 23rd at 7:05 p.m. All 'Dogs games will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820).
