Buffalo Bandits Announce 2009 Regular Season Schedule

BUFFALO, N.Y. (September 2, 2008) --- Buffalo Bandits Director of Lacrosse Operations Scott Loffler today announced the team's 2009 National Lacrosse League schedule. Buffalo's 16-game schedule features eight home games and eight on the road.

The 2008 NLL Champion Bandits begin defense of their title on Saturday, January 3 at HSBC Arena, when they take on the Philadelphia Wings at 7:30 p.m. The Bandits first road game comes one week later when they travel to the Air Canada Centre to face the Toronto Rock at 7 p.m. Starting on Saturday, January 24 the Bandits will begin a three-game road trip in Minnesota against the Swarm. The trip will take Buffalo to Edmonton to play the Rush on January 31 and to Philadelphia on February 6.

The Bandits will welcome the Portland Lumberjax back to HSBC Arena on March 21 in a rematch of last season's thrilling title game. Buffalo defeated Portland 14-13 in the EDGE NLL Championship game on May 17. The Bandits will also travel to face the newest member of the NLL, the Boston Blazers, on Saturday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. at TD Banknorth Garden.
