The Waterloo Bucks (14-41, 4-16) fell by a 7-3 score to the Duluth Huskies (37-18, 13-6) on Thursday night.
Brendan Hueth (2-4, R) and Luke Bowerbank (2-3, R) provided Waterloo with multi-hit games, while Trey Leonard (1-5, 2 SB) and Ethan Ibarra (1-3, RBI, BB, 2 SB) each swiped a pair of bags.
Ryan Froom (3.0 ip, 4 K, 1 H, 2 BB) fired 3.0 scoreless in his Bucks debut, while Joshua Culliver (3.2 ip, 0 r, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K) dazzled in relief.
The Bucks and the Huskies continue their series on Friday night at 6:35 p.m.
