Bakersfield, Calif. - Bakersfield Sports Entertainment, operators of the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL and the Bakersfield Blitz of af2, have announced the hiring of Randy Magana as the organization's new director of sales. Charles Ramos has been hired as the new inside sales manager.

Magana (pronounced: muh-GAHN-ya), comes to BSE from Labatt USA, where he served as an area manager for two years, covering the entire state of Arizona. For over a decade, the Redondo Beach native has worked in sales and marketing throughout the Southwest, including stops in Albuquerque, Tustin, Anaheim and the Central California Coast. Magana is responsible for the development of all sales personnel and overseeing corporate partnerships.

Ramos comes to the organization from the Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA, where he worked in the sales department since the summer of 2004. The Oxnard native also worked with the LA Dodgers and LA Avengers after his graduation from the University of California - Santa Barbara. He will oversee the inside sales staff which is responsible for developing the ticket sales base for the Bakersfield Blitz.

"We're happy to have Charles and Randy on board," said BSE President Matthew Riley. "Randy's experience and success in marketing will lend focus to our sales efforts, and Charles is a young, motivated leader with positive experience in this industry. They both will be great assets to our organization."

Bakersfield Sports Entertainment has also added interns Seth Dawson, Mukhjit Pannu and Kelli Silas to the staff. Dawson hails from Vancouver, Washington and is a member of the Cal State Bakersfield Swim Team. Silas is from Richmond, California and in her second stint with the organization. A student at CSUB, she is currently pursuing a master's degree in Public Administration. Pannu is currently attending Cal State Bakersfield, Majoring in Business Administration. He is from Porterville CA and graduated from Monache High School.

The Condors wrap up their three-game homestand on Thursday night when the Wheeling Nailers come to town for a 7:00 p.m. start at the Rabobank Arena. Wheeling is currently in first place in the National Conference North Division. That game is Student ID Night, sponsored by WB-12, KRAB Radio 106.1 and the University of Phoenix. All junior high, high school and college students can purchase a lower level ticket for just $1 by presenting their valid student ID at the box office.

The Condors head to San Diego to meet up with the Gulls on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. All Condors games, home and away, can be heard live on KGEO AM 1230, online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com and now available for viewing through B2 Networks on the official Condors website.

On Sunday afternoon the Condors return to the Rabobank Arena to face off against Long Beach once again, in a 2:00 p.m. showdown. That day, everyone in attendance will get a Condors poster, sponsored by Univision, Groove 99.3 and the Boxy Xchange. Kid's can also celebrate Grandparents' Day, and enjoy complimentary admission when purchasing a ticket for a grandparent.

Season tickets, mini-plans and group outings can still be reserved by contacting the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825). Individual game tickets are now on sale and may be purchased through the Centennial Garden box office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location.
