Bruins Recall Sauve

BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has recalled forward Max Sauve from the Providence Bruins on an emergency basis (American Hockey League). Sauve is expected to join the Bruins on Tuesday for their 10:30 a.m. Morning Skate at the TD Garden, and be available for their home game Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators at 7:00 p.m..
This marks the 6'0", 185 pound center's second NHL career recall, as he was recalled on February 27 and practiced with the team before being assigned after the trade deadline acquisitions.
In Providence this season, the 22-year-old Sauve has six goals and seven assists in 26 games. He is currently on a four game point streak with the P-Bruins, tallying three goals and one assist in his last four games since February 19th. He played his first full pro season with Providence in the 2010-11 season, ranking second on the team in goals (21) and third overall in the club's scoring race with 21-1738 totals.
Prior to playing in Providence, Sauve played three full seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 2006-2009, splitting his time between the Quebec Remparts and Val d'Or Foreurs. He reached career highs in the 2008-09 season with Val d'Or Foreurs with 27 goals and 49 assists, giving him 76 points on the season. He split the 2009-10 season between Val d'Or Foreurs and Providence,
Sauve was drafted by Boston in the second round (47th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
