Bruins fall to Albany; Toivonen injured

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins saw their three-game winning streak come to an end on Friday night at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Providence, as they fell to the Albany River Rats, 4-1. The Bruins are tied with the Worcester IceCats for fourth place in the Atlantic Division with their 26-19-3-6 record.

Bruin left wing Andy Hilbert scored his 28th goal of the season on a second period power play. Center Keith Aucoin had an assist, giving him points (5-9-14) in nine of his last 10 games.

Providence goaltender Hannu Toivonen started the game, but left at 6:57 of the second period due to a knee injury. He had given up one goal on 14 shots. Toivonen will need surgery on the knee, although no date has been determined at this point.

Cody Rudkowsky (4-6-2) took the loss, stopping five of the seven shots he faced in 32:04.

The Bruins visit the Portland Pirates on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. They return home to host the Springfield Falcons on Sunday, February 20 at 4:05 p.m.
