Admirals down Bears 6-1 in Norfolk

The Bears stumble in Norfolk to begin the post All-Star portion of the schedule with a 6-1 loss at Norfolk Scope.

Norfolk would strike first just 1:18 into the first period when Duncan Keith blasted a shot from between the circles past Tom Lawson for this fifth goal of the season. Matt Keith assisted on the tally as the Admirals took a 1-0 lead. Norfolk would run their lead out to 2-0 before first intermission when Jason Morgan scored his sixth goal of the season from Mike Brown and Shawn Thornton. The Admirals outshot HERSHEY in the first twenty minutes 18-11 and led 2-0 at intermission.

Late in the second period, Nick Naumenko put the BEARS on the scoreboard with his seventh goal of the season. The power play strike was assisted by Eric Perrin and Brett Clark to make the score 2-1. Shortly thereafter at 16:48 of the second, Norfolk's Jim Vandermeer scored a power play goal of his own to give the Admirals a 3-1 lead at intermission.

The Admirals poured it on in the third period when Eric Nickulas and Duncan Keith scored goals to give Norfolk a 5-1 lead. Keith finished off the hat trick at 19:47 of the third to round out the scoring.
