Brockton Rox News Release
BROCKTON - The red hot Rox have won three straight series and look to continue their winning ways at Campanelli Stadium this week. Seated just 1.5 games out of first place, the Rox look to climb the standings with games against the Sussex Skyhawks from August 15-17 and the first place North Shore Spirit on August 19th & 20th. In addition to great baseball, fans can also expect some great entertainment and giveaways during this series.
Tuesday, August 15th pits Rox RHP Wayne Lundgren (1-3, ERA 3.82) against Skyhawks RHP Lincoln Mincks (1-6, ERA 4.74) in the first game of three. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05PM with the gates opening at 6:00PM.
Support lawyers everywhere as Comcast hosts Lawyer Appreciation Night on Wednesday, August 16th. Watch as local lawyers race each other to see who can get into their "legal briefs" first and our very own bat boys will become lawyers for the day. First pitch is at 7:05PM, but the fun begins when the gates open at 6:00PM.
Better hope the power doesn't go out on Thursday, August 17th as all the local electricians will be watching Anna Jack perform for Electrician Appreciation night, presented by Columbia Electric Supply. Don't forget to stop by the beer garden for a $2.00 16oz Narragansett. Gates open at 6:00PM with the first pitch at 7:05PM.
North Shore comes to town on Saturday, August 19th just in time for the second bobblehead giveaway of the season. Former Rox fan favorite Saul Bustos has been immortalized into a bobblehead doll that the first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive, courtesy of WBOS. First pitch is at 7:05PM, but the giveaway starts when the gates open at 6:00PM.
The Rox finish up the homestand with the final regular season matchup against North Shore on Sunday, August 20th. It's Family FUNday at Campanelli where kids have the chance to enjoy pony rides, play catch on the field, run the bases, and get autographs from all their favorite Rox players. First pitch is at 5:05PM but the FUNday activities start when the gates open at 4:00PM.
Tickets are still available for all the games during this homestand. Call the Rox Ticket Office at (508) 559-7070. Don't miss out on a great week with the Rox at Campanelli Stadium!
