Brock McBride Loaned to Aces

PEORIA, Ill. (December 16, 2009) - Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced today that the club loaned center Brock McBride to the Rivermen ECHL affiliate, the Alaska Aces.

McBride, 23, was acquired by Peoria from the Syracuse Crunch in exchange for future considerations on Dec. 9. He did not appear in a game with the Rivermen but has played in 14 games this season for the Crunch. The rookie scored one goal and registered 15 penalty minutes for Syracuse. A native of Cornwall, Ontario McBride played four seasons at St. Lawrence University before turning pro at the end of last season.

In 140 collegiate games, he collected 110 points (40g, 70a) and 256 penalty minutes. He made his professional debut with the Hartford Wolfpack last season, where he appeared in eight regular season games and five more in the playoffs.

The Rivermen begin a five game road trip on Saturday in Abbotsford, BC at 8 p.m. All games can be heard live on Hippie 101.1 FM locally and on the internet through www.rivermen.net/fanzone/live.
