Texas Assigns Ludwig to Idaho

Cedar Park, TX - The Texas Stars announced Wednesday that the team has assigned defenseman Trevor Ludwig to the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL.

Ludwig has one assist in seven games over three separate stints with the Stars this season. The 24-year old has played in 13 games for Idaho this year, scoring a goal and adding five assists for six points. The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder also added 24 penalty minutes with the Steelheads this season and is a +9. Ludwig was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the sixth round (#183 overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Texas will play a road game in Houston on Friday, Dec. 18 at 7:35 PM. Texas will return home to host Grand Rapids on Saturday, Dec.19 at 7:00 PM. On the 19th, the first 3,000 fans receive a Texas Stars Christmas Ornament. The team will hold its first Teddy Bear Toss, where fans may bring stuffed animals to throw on the ice to benefit the Blue Santa program. The Stars will travel to San Antonio on Sunday, Dec.27 to play the Rampage at 3:00 PM. Texas returns to Cedar Park to take on Syracuse on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 7:30 PM.
