Wolf Pack Holiday Drive This Weekend Benefits Connnecticut Children's Place

HARTFORD, December 16, 2009: Northland AEG announced today that the Hartford Wolf Pack will be collecting donations at their home games this Friday, December 18 and Saturday, December 19, for Connecticut Children's Place. Every fan who brings a donation to either of those games will receive a voucher for a half-price grey or red-level ticket to the Pack's home game on Wednesday, December 30.

A list of suggested donation items can be found on the Wolf Pack's official website at www.hartfordwolfpack.com, under the "Community" section.

Connecticut Children's Place (CCP) is a Connecticut Department of Children and Families facility that provides brief treatment, residential care and educational instruction for abused and neglected children between the ages of 12 and 21. Children come to the facility from all over the state. Formerly known as the State Receiving Home, CCP began as an orphanage in the 1880s and is the only facility of its kind in Connecticut.

"We are pleased to partner with a community organization that is loved by our youth," said Wendy Merisotis, CCP's Children Services Specialist. "We are honored to be recognized by the Wolf Pack team not only as the boisterous fans in the arena but also as kids temporarily away from home who deserve the very best holiday season. The Connecticut Children's Place depends upon the generosity of our community and we are always amazed at the outpouring of caring individuals during this time. We are truly grateful to the Wolf Pack fans"

The Wolf Pack's game this Friday night is against the Toronto Marlies, and the Hamilton Bulldogs invade the XL Center on Saturday evening. Both games face off at 7:00 PM. Friday night is Guida's Family Value Night. Family Value Night packages start as low as $45 and include three tickets, three hot dogs or pizza slices, three sodas and a Wolf Pack souvenir. At Saturday night's game, the first 3,000 fans receive a bobblehead of Sonar, the Wolf Pack's mascot, courtesy of Click It or Ticket.
