JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp right-hander Jeff Brigham struck out 10 batters in five scoreless innings, and designated hitter Colby Lusignan drove in four runs in a 9-2 win and third straight victory over the Mobile BayBears before 7,654 saw the season's first NAPA AutoCare Family Fireworks at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

Brigham (2-0) struck out two batters in each of his five innings, scattered four singles and walked one batter without allowing a runner past second base, extending a 10-inning scoreless streak over his first two career Double-A starts.

The Jumbo Shrimp (4-4) took the lead in the first inning against BayBears right-hander Ivan Pineyro (0-1), who made four starts for Jacksonville between 2015 and 2016 in the Miami Marlins organization. Right fielder Kyle Barrett led off with a popup double over third baseman Jose Rojas. Third baseman Mason Davis sacrificed Barrett to third base, and second baseman Isan Diaz hit a sacrifice fly to right field to score Barrett.

Pineyro had retired nine in a row until Davis grounded a fourth-inning leadoff double down the third-base line. Left fielder Austin Dean lined an RBI double to deep left field, center fielder Monte Harrison walked, and Lusignan hit a two-run double to the right-field warning track for a 4-0 lead. Pineyro finished six innings, allowing four earned runs on four hits and one walk with nine strikeouts.

Mobile (3-5) posted its only runs in the sixth inning against right-hander Brandon Barker. With one out, designated hitter Taylor Ward walked, and second baseman Hutton Moyer hit an RBI triple to center field, before scoring on an RBI single by shortstop Connor Justus. Barker lasted 1 2/3 innings, before left-hander Jeff Kinley struck out three batters in 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Right-hander Jose Pena worked around a walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

Jacksonville sealed the score with five runs in the eighth inning off right-hander Samil De Los Santos, who walked four batters in the frame. Davis singled to start the rally that Lusignan capped with a two-run single to make it 9-2.

UP NEXT: The Jumbo Shrimp continue their home-opening series with Mobile at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, when Jacksonville right-hander Merandy Gonzalez (0-0) is scheduled to face BayBears right-hander Jose Rodriguez (1-0). Gates open at 5:30 p.m., when the first 2,000 fans receive a Jumbo Shrimp T-shirt, designed by fan Josh Reavis (who will also throw a ceremonial first pitch), courtesy of 121 Financial and Atlantic Self Storage. Following the game is the first of the Saturday Fireworks series, which continues at each Saturday home game through June 16.
