Bridgeport Sound Tigers Announce Roster Moves

Bridgeport Islanders News Release


BRIDGEPORT, CT – The American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers, affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced Defenseman Evgeny Korolev has been reassigned by the Islanders to Yaroslavl in the Russian Elite League, Center Justin Mapletoft and Left Wing Raffi Torres have been recalled to New York, and Right Wing Trent Hunter and Defenseman Tomi Pettinen have been assigned to Bridgeport by the Islanders.

The Sound Tigers will host the St. John's Maple Leafs this Wednesday, October 16th at 7:05 p.m. and the Hartford Wolf Pack this Friday, October 18th at 7:35 p.m. They will visit the Springfield Falcons this Saturday, October 19th at 7:35 p.m.. All three games will be broadcast live on "The ZONE" FOX Sports Radio 1300 and on the Internet at www.soundtigers.com. Saturday's game will also air on WSTC/WNLK 1400/1350 AM.
