
Brian Jeroloman has two hits, but Fisher Cats fall 6-1 to Phillies Saturday night

Harrisburg, PA---Brian Jeroloman went 2-for-4 with a single and a double and Adam Calderone drove in a run with a bases loaded walk, but the Fisher Cats lost their fifth straight game Saturday night, falling 6-1 to the Reading Phillies before 7,274 at Merchantsauto.com Stadium.
Rey Gonzalez (3-3) suffered the loss. He extended his personal scoreless streak to 13.2 IP before allowing two out singles to Ozzie Chavez and Quintin Berry with two outs in the top of the sixth inning. Gonzalez then walked Brad Harman and Michael Taylor to give Reading (32-22) a 1-0 lead. Brian Stavisky (2-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI) then hit a fly to left field that Cody Haerther lost in the lights, dropping for a three-run double. Neil Sellers (2-for-4, RBI) followed with a single that put the Phillies up 5-0.
New Hampshire (26-31) scored its only run against winning pitcher Mike Stutes (4-1) in the bottom of the seventh inning. Stutes left after walks to Nick Gorneault and Al Quintana. Reliever Pat Overholt walked Chris Gutierrez and Calderone to cut the deficit to 5-1. Overholt got Brad Emaus to fly to right to end the frame without further damage.
Stutes allowed one earned run in 6.2 IP, allowing four hits, walking five and striking out four.
Mike Zagurski worked the final two innings, retiring all six batters he faced, five by strikeout.
Reading added a run in the top of the ninth inning on an RBI single by Paul Bako off Sean Stidfole.
Gonzalez allowed five earned runs on five hits in six innings. Edgar Estanga pitched two innings of scoreless relief for the Fisher Cats.
