Portland Sea Dogs News Release
LHP Andrew Dobies assigned to Portland from High-A Salem (Carolina League)...Dobies replaces RHP Bryce Cox who was earlier assigned to Single-A Lowell.
Dobies had no record in 3 games with the Salem Red Sox, posting a 5.06 ERA (3 ER/5.1 IP)....The lefty did not pitch all of last season due to injury...In 2007, went 4-3, 5.35 ERA (45 ER/75.2 IP) in 34 games/10 starts.
Andrew Dobies was a 3rd round pick by the Red Sox in the 2004 draft, he will wear #28 in tonight's game.
