Braves End Biscuits Win-Streak

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits' (12-7) six-game winning streak came to a close as the Mississippi Braves (7-12) totaled a season-high 12 hits as the Biscuits fell 6-2 on Tuesday morning at Riverwalk Stadium.

Elmer Reyes led the way for the Braves with four this and two RBI. His two-out, RBI-single in the first game the Braves a 1-0 lead. His RBI-knock in the fifth inning allowed the Braves to recapture the lead 2-1 after Montgomery tied the game at one in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly from Cameron Seitzer.

The Braves pulled away in the late inning with a two-run homer from Braeden Schlehuber in the sixth then single runs in the seventh and ninth innings.

The Biscuits scored the last run of the game with a Curt Casali RBI-single in the sixth.

Williams Perez (2-1) allowed two runs on six hits through six innings for the win. Michael Colla (1-2) gave up two runs with five strikeouts through five innings for the loss.

The series-finale is Wednesday night at 7:05. LH Grayon Garvin will faceoff with one of the top prospects in the Braves' system, RH J.R. Graham.
