
Brassart Assigned to Mallards

MOLINE, Ill. - Forward Brady Brassart has been assigned to the Quad City Mallards by the American Hockey League's Iowa Wild and the Mallards have released forward Tyler Gjurich, the Mallards announced today.
Brassart, 22, has scored three goals and added two assists in 30 games with the Wild this season. The 6' 2", 210-pound Vernon, British Columbia native scored eight times and picked up 13 assists for 21 points in 72 games with Iowa as a rookie last year. Brassart broke into professional hockey by playing nine games- and scoring once- for Iowa late in the 2013-14 season.
Brassart played five seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Spokane Chiefs and Calgary Hitmen before turning pro. In his final junior campaign, Brassart matched or set career highs in goals (35), assists (50) and points (85) while helping Calgary to the 2013-14 WHL Central Division title. Brassart scored 112 goals, notched 157 assists and totaled 269 points in 323 career Western League games.
Gjurich, 23, made his Mallard debut Sunday against the Indy Fuel in Indianapolis after signing with the Mallards earlier that day.
The Mallards next play at home tomorrow night at 6:35 p.m. against the Evansville Icemen. Tomorrow evening will see the Mallards team with Disc Replay to honor academic achievement with Disc Replay Report Card Night. Students with an "A" or other exemplary grade on any report card from the 2015-16 school year are eligible to receive a free ticket to tomorrow night's game. Students or their parents can show report cards in order to receive a free ticket at the iWireless Center Box Office or at the Mallards office at the iWireless Center. Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including tomorrow night's game- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $10, $16, $20 and $28.
