
South Carolina's Komm Named CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Branden Komm of the South?Carolina Stingrays is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Dec. 21-27.
The 24-year-old went 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.00 goals-against average and a save percentage of .955 in two appearances last week.
Komm made 17 saves in a 5-2 win against Norfolk on Saturday and then stopped all 25 shots he faced to record his first professional shutout in a 3-0 victory over the Admirals on Sunday.
A?native of Williamsville, N.Y., Komm has appeared in five games for the Stingrays this season going 5-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.40 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage.
Komm has seen action in 26 career ECHL games with?South Carolina, Cincinnati and Evansville posting an overall record of 8-10-3 with one shutout, a 2.85 goals-against average and a save percentage of .910.
Prior to turning pro, he appeared in 115 career games over four seasons at Bentley University.
Runners Up: Pat Nagle, Fort Wayne (2-0-0, 1.00 GAA, .957 save pct.) and Mac Carruth, Indy (2-0-0, 1.00 GAA, .959 save pct.).
