
Fort Wayne's Embach Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Mike Embach of the Fort Wayne Komets is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Dec. 21-27.
Embach had three points (1g-2a) and was a +4 in two games last week.
The 27-year-old had an assist in a 4-0 win against Atlanta on Monday and recorded a the game-winning goal and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Kalamazoo on Saturday.
A native of Orland Park, Ill., Embach leads the Komets with 11 goals and is tied for the team lead with 22 points in 25 games this season.
Embach has 205 points (94g-111a) in 277 career ECHL games with Fort Wayne, Gwinnett, Cincinnati and Chicago.
On behalf of Mike Embach, a case of pucks will be donated to a Fort Wayne youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 33,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
Runners Up: Zach Yuen, Idaho (1 gp, 2g, 1a, 3 pts.) and Peter Schneider, Indy (2 gp, 2g, 1a, 3 pts.).
