
Brandon Roach Added To Flames Blueline

Moline, IL - The Quad City Flames announced today that defenseman Brandon Roach has been signed to a Professional Try-Out Agreement. Roach was skating with the ECHL's Elmira Jackals prior to signing with the Flames.
Roach is a second-year professional with 126 games of professional experience in the ECHL. He appeared in 55 games with the Jackals this season and recorded 32 points on nine goals and 23 assists. He is tied for ninth in scoring amongst ECHL defensemen.
As a rookie is 2007-08, Roach tied for 17th amongst ECHL defensemen in scoring. The Bay Roberts, Newfoundland native recorded 34 points (12 goals and 22 assists) while skating for the ECHL's Florida Everblades last season. Roach joined the professional ranks after spending a season playing college hockey at Acadia University. He also appeared in 255 games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 2002 through 2006.
The Quad City Flames visit Peoria on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. start. The game can be heard on 93.9 FM WYEC beginning at 6:35 p.m. with The Hayman's Ace Hardware Pre-Game Show. Fans can also watch the game for just $6.00 at ahllive.com.
On Saturday, the Flames host Faith Night vs. the Iowa Chops. Groups that would like to take advantage of the Faith Night discount should call the Flames Ticket Office at (309) 764-7825. After the game, The Furnace Midwest Band will perform. A portion of the proceeds from Saturday's ticket sales will benefit WINNIE'S Place, a women's shelter in the Quad Cities. The Flames are home on Sunday, March 8th vs. Milwaukee. Face-off is at 5:05 p.m. Tickets anywhere in the arena are just $7.00 courtesy of Modern Woodmen. Popcorn will be on sale for just $1.50. Hot dogs will also be available for $1.50. After the game, members of the Modern Woodmen Kids Club are invited down to the ice to skate with Flames players.
