Brandon Lowe Named IL Batter of the Week

DURHAM, NC - The International League today announced Brandon Lowe has been named I.L. Batter of the Week for the week of June 18 through June 24.
The 23-year-old led all Triple-A hitters with five homers on the week, and has homered in four straight games entering Monday's contest. Over a six-game stretch the Virginia native batted .400 (10-for-25) and led the I.L. with 10 RBI, nine runs scored, seven extra-base hits, 27 total bases and a 1.080 slugging percentage. Promoted from Double-A Montgomery in early June, the left-handed swinger raised his average 107 points with his 10-hit week, in which the Bulls went 4-2 on a road trip to Louisville and Indianapolis.
Lowe is the first Bull to earn an I.L. weekly award in 2018, and is the first Durham player to take home the honor since left-handed pitcher Ryan Yarbrough in August of 2017. This marks the second time in his career the University of Maryland product has taken home league Player of the Week honors, after doing so in June of 2017 with Advanced-A Charlotte.
