Brahmas Blazed by OKC, 4-2

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (November 7)- The Brahmas fell short Friday night in Oklahoma City, losing to the Blazers 4-2. Oklahoma City remains unbeaten in regulation for the 2008-0 season.

Oklahoma City was able to get on the boards first with a goal from Simon Lambert at the 12:35 mark. Texas was outshot in the period 14-8. Starting in goal for the Brahmas was Brett Jaeger, and Andy Franck for the Jackalopes.

The Blazers continued to play sound behind the leadership of Franck in the second period and were able to go up 2-0 on Texas. The middle frame consisted of more physical play, leading to an Oklahoma City penalty that Brahmas' forward Pete Rouleau was able to convert on extending the Brahmas powerplay streak to three games. The teams entered the intermission with 18 shots a side.

Brahmas defenseman Kevin McLeod returned from the intermission ready to score his first goal of the season and was able to do so with the help of teammates Pete Rouleau and Tyler Skworchinski. One minute later the Blazers were able to win a faceoff to Jaeger's right and deflected a shot to put Oklahoma City up 3-2.

In the end Oklahoma City was too much to handle for the Brahmas as Texas lost 4-2. Both teams had 27 shots for the evening.
