
Jacks Hand Bees First Loss in Shootout, 5-4

(Hidalgo, TX) - Alexandre Vincent's sprawling save on Travis Bunga in the finals shootout round sealed a 5-4 win for the Odessa Jackalopes (6-2-1)and handed Rio Grande Valley their first loss of the season (5-1-0).
Jeff Pierce and Dominic Leveille were the goal scorers in the shootout for Odessa. Evan Rankin scored for the Killer Bees.
Odessa took a 3-2 lead into the third period, and extended with a power play goal by Sebastien Thinel at :26. Rio Grande came back to force overtime with goals from Rankin at 4:28 and Rob Voltera at 15:37.
The Jackalopes will complete their three game road trip tomorrow night in North Richland Hills, TX against the Texas Brahmas at the NYTEX Sports Centre. Game time is 7:05 and the game can be heard on BOB FM 95.1.
