
Boulders Power their Way to Fourth Straight Win

Rockland County - Three New York Boulders' relievers combined to shut down the New Jersey Jackals' attack over the second half of the game and preserved a 5-4 win on Wednesday at Palisades Credit Union Park.
The win was the fourth in a row for New York, their longest streak of the season. They had won three in a row four previous times this year.
Ryan Munoz with three innings, Dylan Smith with two - all six outs coming by strikeout - and Zach Schneider in the ninth teamed up to shut down the Jackals' offense over the last six innings. The trio combining to allow no runs on four hits.
Munoz got the win as he improved to 2-3 on the season, while Schneider's perfect ninth inning earned him his second save.
Meanwhile, New York took the lead for good in the fifth when Ryan Ramiz blasted a solo home run, his fourth of the year, off of Jackals' reliever Jack Weinberger, who was tagged with the loss, falling to 5-2 on the year.
Neither starter made it past the fourth inning. The Boulders' Nate Roe gave way to Munoz in the fourth inning, while New Jersey's Dylan Brammer was relieved by Weinberger to start the fifth.
The game was knotted at 4-4 after four frames. The Jackals scored twice in the top of the second on an RBI groundout by Stanley Espinal and a run-scoring double from Josh Rehwaldt, The Boulders answered with three in the bottom of the frame on a solo home run by Ray Hernandez, his league-leading 18th of the year, and a solo homer from Milton Smith, Jr., his second of the season.
New Jersey pushed across single runs in the third and fourth innings on an RBI single from Jason Agresti and a sacrifice fly by Santiago Chirino.
The Boulders, though, would tie the game at 4-4 with a run in the bottom of the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Kevonte Mitchell.
