
Boreham to kick around Hamilton for a while

Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that non-import kicker Jamie Boreham has agreed to a two-year (plus an option) contract extension with the team.
The 5-11, 202-pound kicker has completed 21 of 28 field goal attempts and is one of only two kickers in the CFL to possess at least a 75% completion rate. Boreham's greatest effort this season came on July 23rd against the B.C. Lions, when he connected on all five field goals attempted.
"Jamie has had a very good year for us," said general manager Rob Katz. "We believe he will develop into one of the leauge's best at his position."
The 27 year-old native of Vancouver, British Columbia is currently in his second season with the Ticats after arriving in a February 12, 2004 trade with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The Ticats (4-13) finish off their 2005 campaign on Friday, November 4 at Ivor Wynne Stadium against the Montreal Alouettes (10-7). The game can be heard live on AM 900 CHML.
