Green Bay Rockers News Release

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. - The Green Bay Booyah lost to the Madison Mallards on Sunday afternoon, 3-2, at Capital Credit Union Park.

Mykel Page (Southern) was dealing through the first five innings but ran into issues in the sixth inning. A pair of home runs for the Mallards in that inning put the Booyah down on the board, 3-0.

Green Bay was able to rally for two runs in the eighth inning. With the bases loaded, pinch hitter Nathan Blasick (West Virginia) hit a sacrifice fly that scored Brendan Ryan (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi). In the ensuing at-bat, Tyler Hollow (Dixie State) drove in Nadir Lewis (Princeton) from second base with a single to right field.

After a 1-2-3 top of the ninth inning, Jack Duffy (Polk State College) had a leadoff single in the home half of the frame to represent the tying-run. But the next three batters were unable to move him over and the Booyah fell.

The Booyah will now turn their focus to the Battle Creek Bombers as they make the trip from Michigan. The Booyah swept the Bombers in July. They will start a two-game series on Monday.
