Green Bay Rockers News Release
ASHWAUBENON, Wis. - The Green Bay Booyah are back in the win column after a 15-7 win over the Madison Mallards on Saturday night at Capital Credit Union Park.
Green Bay got on the scoreboard in the first frame when Tristin Garcia (Western Kentucky) reached on an error that scored Brendan Ryan (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi). Jack Duffy (Polk State College) picked up a painful run batted in when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
The Booyah added to their lead in the second inning when Nadir Lewis (Princeton) and Jakob Runnels (St. John's River State College) each batted a run in after a sacrifice fly. Green Bay added one more in the third inning when Elias Flowers (Jacksonville) hit an RBI double that scored Johnny Hipsman (Richmond).
Green Bay added another three in the sixth inning when Lewis picked up an RBI single, which was copied by Dayson Croes (Quincy) and when Runnels hit another sacrifice fly. One more was added in the seventh by the Booyah when Flowers's single to center field scored Brett Blair (Stanford).
The Booyah added another two in the eighth inning for safe measure. It came courtesy of Ryan's second home run of the season, a solo shot over the wall in right field and a third sacrifice fly by Runnels that scored Lewis.
Christian Orr (Columbia International) pitched 5.2 innings and walked just one. He picked up his third win of the season.
