Bombers select OL LaBatte in CFL Draft

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are pleased to announce they selected offensive lineman Brendon LaBatte from the University of Regina with their first round pick (6th overall) in the 2008 CFL Canadian Draft.

LaBatte (6-4, 320 lbs.) started 10 games for the Regina Rams in 2007. He was just the second Rams player to participate in the East-West Shrine Game.

The Weyburn, Sask. native was also a starter for the Rams in 2006.
