
Boardwalk Bullies' Haviland and Henkel to Appear at Wall Sports Arena Friday

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. â The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the East Coast Hockey League announced that Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Michael Haviland and rookie Jim Henkel will appear at Wall Sports Arena's public skating session tomorrow from 8 â9 p.m.
Haviland, from Sea Girt, N.J., and Henkel, a native of Hazlet, N.J., will be available to sign autographs and fans are invited to skate with the team's mascot "Wooly." For more information, please log on to www.wallsportsarena.com.
Also, tickets will be on sale for the Bullies' "Jim Henkel Night" on Saturday, February 15, when the Bullies face the Reading Royals at Boardwalk Hall at 7:05 p.m.
Haviland was selected as a co-coach of the Northern Conference team in the 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game scheduled for Tuesday, January 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the TECO Arena, home of the Florida Everblades, in Estero, Fla. Last season, the Hockey News named Haviland the ECHL Head Coach of the Year after leading the Bullies to a 44-22-8 regular season record and the Northeast Division title in the 2002 Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Henkel was named to the Northern Conference All-Star team on Tuesday, replacing teammate Scott Matzka who is currently on the 30-day injured reserve list. Henkel is currently on a ten-game point scoring streak with 16 points on seven goals and nine assists in nine games stretching from December 18, 2002 to January 15, 2003.
Presently the Bullies are first in the Northeast Division and second in the Northern Conference and the league with a 24-8-9 record and 57 points in 41 games.
