Bridgewater, NJ - The Bridgeport Bluefish (8-6) shutout the Somerset Patriots (8-6) 2-0 Saturday evening from TD Bank Ballpark.
In the top of the third inning third baseman Sean Burroughs fisted a RBI single to give Bridgeport a 1-0 advantage.
Center fielder Nick Van Stratten ripped a RBI single to expand the Bluefish lead to 2-0 in the top of the seventh inning.
Parker Frazier (3-0) earned the win tossing eight brilliant innings scattering just five hits. Lucas Irvine (1-2) sustained the loss hurling five innings while allowing one run. Tim Gustafson notched the save (2) pitching a perfect ninth inning.
