
BlueClaws Game Postponed in Lexington

Lakewood, N.J. â The Lakewood BlueClaws (3-12) game against the Lexington Legends (9-6), affiliate of the Houston Astros, was postponed due to weather conditions in Lexington, KY. Wind gusts of up to 30-35MPH and wind chills in the upper 20's and low 30's caused the game to be called.
With the threat of precipitation moving into the area the game was called approximately two hours before the scheduled first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
The BlueClaws and Legends game was called early on Friday night due to inclement weather with the Legends winning 3-2.
Game two of the series will be made up on Sunday as part of a double-header with the first game scheduled to begin at 1:05 p.m.
The scheduled starters for Saturday's game will start game one of the double header on Sunday with right-hander Andy Baldwin (0-1, 5.79 ERA) taking the hill for Lakewood. He will be opposed by Lexington's right-hander Ronnie Martinez (2-1, 3.43 ERA).
Game two starters will be the right-hander Carlos Carrasco (0-1, 4.61 ERA) for the BlueClaws with Lexington sending Evan Englebrook (1-1, 2.25 ERA) to the mound.
This season, the Lakewood BlueClaws are celebrating their fifth anniversary of providing great fun in the Jersey sun. Among the other great promotions this year, fireworks after every Friday night home game sponsored by Toyota World / Scion World of Lakewood. In addition, the BlueClaws will host games against affiliates of the New York Yankees and Mets.
