
BlueClaws Drop 7th Straight - Fall 3-0 to Greenville Saturday

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Dedgar Jimenez threw six scoreless innings and Jordan Procyshen drove in two as Greenville topped the BlueClaws 3-0 on Saturday night at FirstEnergy Park, handing the BlueClaws their seventh straight loss.
Jimenez who improved to 5-3, allowed five hits without a walk and striking out two.
The BlueClaws fall to 32-35 and have lost seven straight for the first time since June 22-28 of last year against Greensboro and West Virginia. The Drive improve to 38-31, winning their third straight game.
Greenville scored a run in the first inning on an RBI single by Jordan Procyshen, who added a SAC fly in the third inning to put the Drive up 2-0. Yoel Mecias, making his first start with Lakewood this year, exited after allowing two runs over three innings, walking three and striking out three.
The Drive, against reliever Austin Davis, added a run in the 6th inning on an RBI single by Mike Meyers to go up 3-0. Davis allowed one run over three innings for Lakewood. Matt Hockenberry threw two scoreless innings of relief as well.
Six BlueClaws had one hit including Emmanuel Marrero, who singled in his BlueClaws debut.
The series and the first half concludes on Sunday afternoon at 1:05. LHP Josh Taylor (3-5) starts for the BlueClaws against LHP Jalen Beeks (6-3).
