
Yency Almonte Promoted to Winston-Salem

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (June 20, 2015) - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have promoted RHP Yency Almonte to Class A-Advanced Winston-Salem, where he will pitch today for the Dash in Carolina League action. In a corresponding move, the Intimidators receive RHP Euclides Leyer from the Dash.
Almonte, 20, is 5-3 with a 4.50 ERA in 11 games (10 starts) for the Intimidators this season. The White Sox acquired him from the Angels in February as the PTBNL in the Gordon Beckham deal.
The Intimidators face the Greensboro Grasshoppers tonight at 7 p.m. at NewBridge Bank Park. The team is back at home next following the All-Star Break on Thursday, June 25, to open a nine-game home stand. For tickets and promotional information, visit IntimidatorsBaseball.com.
