JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Drew Thorpe threw seven scoreless innings striking out 12 as Hudson Valley topped the BlueClaws 1-0 on Sunday in ShoreTown.

Hudson Valley opened the scoring i the first on an RBI double from Rafael Flores, a run that held up as the only run of the game.

Jersey Shore starter Rafael Marcano settled in from there. He got through 4.2 innings and came out having allowed just the one run while striking out six, matching his season high.

The BlueClaws, however, couldn't solve Thorpe, who set a Renegades record with 12 strikeouts.

Chase Antle, Sam Jacobsak, Malik Binns, and Mitch Neunborn combined to throw 4.1 innings of scoreless relief in the loss.

Marcus Lee Sang and Jared Carr had doubles for Jersey Shore.

The BlueClaws head to Wilmington to start a series on Tuesday and return home on June 20th for six games with Rome.
