ORLANDO - The Oklahoma City Blue (7-3) fell to the Austin Spurs (8-3), 109-106, on Friday afternoon.

Thunder assignment player Aleksej Pokuševski pulled down a career-high 19 rebounds to go with 12 points, five assists, a game-best four blocks and a game-high-tying three steals for this second double-double.

The Spurs set the early tone for the game as they made seven three-pointers in the first quarter. Oklahoma City was down by 20 in the second before cutting the lead to 10 on a Ryan Woolridge layup with five and a half minutes to go in the half. The Spurs rallied to stretch their lead to 17 at halftime. Austin maintained their lead through the third period behind Robert Woodard II's nine points. Down by as many as 26, Jaylen Hoard and Pokuševski sparked some scoring for the Blue, putting in 15 of the team's 33 third-quarter points.

The fourth quarter turned in the favor of the Blue as Omer Yurtseven and Antonius Cleveland combined to score 13 points in the first four minutes, to bring the game within six. Down two with 2:05 to go, Pokuševski drained a three, giving the Blue its first lead since the opening basket. On the final possessions of the game, a goaltend to put the Spurs ahead, and with 6.7 on the clock, Austin's Galen Robinson Jr. knocked down a floater to give Austin a three-point advantage and the win.

"It was a tough first half, but credit to Austin," Head Coach Grant Gibbs said. "They had us rotating, and they made a lot of shots and put pressure on us from a lineup and matchup standpoint, and obviously, their ability to shoot and spread the floor. I was impressed with our team in the second half with the fight we had to get back into it, collectively."

Six Oklahoma City players scored in double figures as Thunder two-way player Moses Brown scored 16 points to go with eight rebounds. Woolridge notched a double-double of 11 points and 11 assists while grabbing six boards.

Off the bench, Yurtseven knocked down 8-of-11 shots, tying a game high with 17 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Vincent Edwards drained a game-leading four shots from beyond the arc to pour in 14 points and five rebounds.

For the Spurs, Woodard turned in a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The Blue will face the Delaware Blue Coats next tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. CT inside The Field House.
