Blue Bombers Dominate CFL Team Categories

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers dominated the CFL's team statistical categories for the second straight year.

The 12-6 Winnipeg Blue Bombers virtually owned several sections in the 2002 team stats competition. The team led some categories – such as fewest first downs rushing, fewest total first downs, fewest yards rushing and fewest total yards allowed – each and every week of the 2002 season.

The team placed 1st in 29 categories and 2nd in 17 others. No other team led the CFL in as many categories as the Blue Bombers did in 2002.

The totals for 2002 compare favorably to the club's record-setting 14-4 season of 2001, when the team led in 30 categories and placed 2nd in 10 others.
