For the second time this season, Richmond beat the Senators 1-0 in 10 innings at The Diamond in Richmond. The Flying Squirrels plated their free runner in the 10th, while the Sens stranded their free runner at third in the top of the 10th. The Senators missed on several opportunities to score in the first nine innings and with the free runner in the 10th. Mario Sanchez was outstanding in his start, going seven shutout innings.

On Capitol Hill

Mario Sanchez pitched seven innings and retired the final 18 batters he faced. He allowed just one hit, a double to Zach Houchins in the second inning.

Greg Holland tossed a scoreless eighth inning.

Jordan Mills pitched out of a second and third no outs and bases loaded one out situation in the ninth.

Aaron Barrett pitched the 10th and allowed a bouncing ball single to center by Ryan Howard to score Richmond's 10th inning free runner.

With the Gavel

Luis Garcia doubled in the first inning, his only hit of the night.

The Sens managed just four hits and went 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

Filibusters

- Ryan Zimmerman went 0-for-3 in his rehab appearance.

- It was the second time in three games the Sens failed to score in 10 at bats.

- It was the second time Richmond has walked off the Sens and Harrisburg's fifth walk off loss overall.
