San Bernardino, CA - The Bakersfield Blaze (11-12) received a quality start from Tyler Pike and held on to defeat the Inland Empire 66ers (5-19) 6-5. With the loss the 66ers suffer their second consecutive sweep and are now 0-6 on the homestand.

The Bakersfield Blaze got to 66ers starter Jeremy Rhoades as the Illinois State product gave up six runs, five earned, in his five innings of work. The Blaze received multi-hit games Brock Hebert (2-for-4), Jay Baum (2-for-4) and Gianfranco Wawoe (2-for-3) in the win.

Tim Arakawa starred for the 66ers offensively going 3-for-4 (3 Runs). The effort was his second consecutive multi-hit game and has hit .513 in last ten games (19-for-37). David Fletcher had a solid day going 2-for-4 with a double and stolen base, his eight of the season.

Inland Empire begins a four-game series with the Lancaster JetHawks Monday night. Sixer Tyler Carpenter (2-0 0.69 ERA) squares off against the JetHawks' Elieser Hernandez (0-2 14.63 ERA) in the series opener. First pitch time is 7:05pm and can be heard live on KPRO 1570 AM and on the 66ers Radio Network via 66ers.com.
