Vini Dantas of the Baltimore Blast Celebrates vs. the Syracuse Silver Knights

The Blast hosted the Syracuse Silver Knights on Saturday night in an Eastern Division matchup against. In the third game of the season between the two teams the Blast were again victorious. The Blast defeated the Silver Knights 7-3 to remain undefeated.
The opening goal was scored by Cory Elenio of the Silver Knights. The Blast would answer when leading goal scorer Vini Dantas drilled home his 14th goal of the season. This was the 9th consecutive game that Dantas has scored. Tony Donatelli, who leads the Blast in assists, recorded his 7th on the goal. At the end of the first the game was tied 1-1.
The Blast played solid defensively during the second quarter. Juan Pereira was able to give the Blast the lead at the 7:12 mark off an assist from Pat Healey for the only goal in the quarter. Blast goalkeeper William Vanzela recorded 6 saves in the half and the Blast went into the locker room leading 2-1.
The offenses came out aggressive in the third quarter with 5 goals scored. Blast captain, Pat Healey, recorded his fifth goal of the season at the 11:54 mark off an assist from Tony Donatelli. The Silver Knights would score back to back goals from Antonio Manfut and Gary Boughton to tie the game at 3. The Blast would regain the lead when Lucas Roque scored a power play goal assisted by Pat Healey. Before the end of the quarter Tony Donatelli extended the lead with a goal assisted by Jinho Kim. The Blast entered the final quarter leading 5-3.
The Blast continued to add to their lead during the final quarter. Just 29 seconds in Juan Pereira scored his second goal of the game off of Vini Dantas' third assist. In the final minute of the game Vini Dantas would score his second goal of the game off an assist from Adriano Dos Santos to seal the Blast victory. The final score was Blast 7 Silver Knights 3.
The Blast move to 9-0 on the season. The Blast were lead offensively by Vini Dantas who recorded 2 goals and added 3 assists. Juan Pereira recorded 2 goals while Pat Healey and Tony Donatelli added a goal and an assist each. Goalkeeper William Vanzela recorded 16 saves in the victory. The Blast will return home this Friday, January 8th, to take on the Waza Flo. Kickoff is at 7:35p.m. from the Royal Farms Arena.
