CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union faced off against D.C. United on Saturday night at Audi Field, winning 3-1. With the win, the Union are now in second place in the Eastern Conference with 43 points. In the first half, forward Mikael Uhre opened the scoring in the fifth minute, assisted by Julian Carranza. In the 13th minute, homegrown midfielder Jack McGlynn added another goal for the Union by scoring from the left side of the box. Midfielder Daniel Gazdag converted a penalty in the 38th minute to extend the Union's lead at the end of the first half. In the second half, Theodore Ku-Dipietro scored for D.C. United in the 88th minute.
The Union are back on the road to face Toronto FC at BMO Field on Wednesday, August 30th (7:30 p.m. / Apple TV).
