Saskatoon Blades News Release

SASKATOON - Head Coach and General Manager, Bob Woods, announced today that the Blades have traded 1996-born forward Josh Uhrich to the Seattle Thunderbirds, in exchange for a 5th round pick (Swift Current's) in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.

"We'd like to thank Josh for all he brought to the Blades. Josh was excited about the chance to go to a top end contender and it gives us a chance to get our young players in the lineup." said Woods.

The Rosetown product was originally acquired from the Moose Jaw Warriors prior to the 2014-2015 campaign. In 99 career games with the Blades, Uhrich tallied 14 goals and 17 assists to go along with 115 penalty minutes.

The Blades would like to wish Josh all the best moving forward in his hockey career, and thank him for his hard work with the club.

The Blades next home game is Friday, December 11th, at 7PM, when the Blades take on the Kamloops Blazers. Stay up to date with the Blades by downloading the new and improved Blades App which features a My Rewards section, live scoring notifications, and more!
