ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 6-23-2-0 record (5-8-2-0 at home, 1-15-0-0 on the road, 3-2 in overtime, 0-0 in shootouts) and in sixth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...KOOTENAY will complete a season-long, five game B.C. DIVISION road trip December 8 in PRINCE GEORGE before returning home to host SWIFT CURRENT December 12.
A&W TEDDY BEAR TOSS: The annual A&W TEDDY BEAR, TOQUE AND MITTEN TOSS will take place December 12 when the ICE host the SWIFT CURRENT BRONCOS...Fans in attendance are encouraged to bring new and unused toques, mittens and teddy bears to launch onto the ice after KOOTENAY scores their first goal...Proceeds will benefit the SALVATION ARMY.
2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS: KOOTENAY ICE 2 FOR 1 TUESDAYS are back!...At every Tuesday regular season home game, fans can enjoy 2 FOR 1 deals on walk-up tickets and select concession items from COYOTE JACK'S...The next 2 FOR 1 TUESDAY is December 15 when the ICE host the RED DEER REBELS.

HOLIDAY OFFICE CLOSURE: The KOOTENAY ICE Office will be closed Monday, December 21 through Saturday, December 26 for the holiday break...The WESTERN FINANCIAL PLACE Box Office will open at 10:00 am Sunday, December 27 for game day ticket sales.
ROSTER UPDATE: KOOTENAY is currently carrying 24 players (two goaltenders, eight defensemen and 14 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of three 1995-born players, two 1996-born players, 11 1997-born players, seven 1998-born players and one 1999-born player...KOOTENAY has nine first-year players on its roster.
DID YOU KNOW: WYATT HOFLIN made a career-high 55 saves December 2 at KELOWNA...HOFLIN, who moved into third place among ICE franchise goaltending leaders in career saves (3,420) November 28 versus LETHBRIDGE (passing JEFF GLASS), also surpassed 7,000 career minutes played December 2 against the ROCKETS...CALE FLEURY scored his first career power-play goal December 1 in KAMLOOPS...AUSTIN GRAY and JESSE ZAHARICHUK both made their KOOTENAY debuts December 1 against the BLAZERS...DYLAN STEWART is one appearance shy of 100 career games played...Former ICE forward TIM BOZON (ST. JOHN'S) recorded his first career AHL point December 4 at UTICA...Former KOOTENAY forwards AUSTIN VETTERL (UBC) and LEVI CABLE (SASKATCHEWAN) were both nominated for the CANADA WEST WHL GRAD OF THE MONTH for NOVEMBER.
INJURIES: Forward RIVER BEATTIE will be out of the ICE lineup day to day with an upper body injury...Forward ZAK ZBOROSKY will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup day to day with a lower body injury...Forward DYLAN STEWART will be out of the ICE lineup one to two weeks with an upper body injury...Forward LUKE PHILP will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup indefinitely with a lower body injury...Forward JAEDON DESCHENEAU will be out of the ICE lineup indefinitely with an upper body injury...Defenseman TYLER KING will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup indefinitely with a lower body injury.
ONE YEAR AGO: After 31 games of the 2014-15 season the ICE were 15-16-0-0, after 32 games 16-16-0-0 and after 33 games 17-16-0-0.
