KENT - Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell this afternoon announced USA Hockey has named center Scott Eansor to the preliminary roster for the 2016 US National Junior Team.

The National Junior Team will have Training Camp from December 14 to December 18 in Boston. There will be an additional camp in Vierumaki, Finland, from December 19 to December 24. The camps will determine the Team USA roster for the 2016 World Junior Championship. The 2016 World Junior Championship is December 26, 2015, to January 5, 2015, in Helsinki, Finland.

Eansor has four goals and 10 assists for 14 points in 18 games this season for the T-Birds.

"Scott has worked hard and pushed his game to be part of this team and it is good to see his effort recognized," said Farwell. "He will be an effective player for their team as he is a tenacious, hard to play against guy."

The 29-player preliminary roster includes 4 goaltenders, 9 defensemen and 16 forwards. There are 10 players on the preliminary roster currently playing in the CHL.
